As what I have mentioned in Windows Defender Your Anti Spyware which also include feature which you can manage your scanning time. By this feature you can schedule auto scanning to your PC. You can make schedule when it will work to scan your PC. You might want to run it automatically every week or every day. How nice this feature. There are some steps that you have to follow in order to running auto scan. Here they are:
- First step is click on Tools
- Then click on setting and choose Options
- Click on Automatic Scanning then click on Automatically scan my Computer(recommended)
- Then select scan frequency, scanning Time and Scanning type
- Make sure that you have check”
Check for updated definitions before scanning “and also check to “Apply default actions to items detected during a scan” thoroughly. - Select action you wish Windows Defender to take in Default action. If you unsure it recommended to use default action
- Then the last step is click on Save button
Then the other feature that can work nice for your PC is Real-time Protection which it monitors against spyware or the other threat during browsing. Then you also can modify this feature by following steps below:
- Click on Tools icon
- Click on Option
- Choose Real-time protection option
- Chose one of choices enabling this feature or disabling this feature in Use real-time protection (recommended). Enable choice is used to modify which security agent you want to run. - Then click save
