Before PS3 taking this action, XBox has one step faster but they charge their user to pay for $50 a year for XBox Live Gold members.
Initially to stream movie from Netflix, PS3 is planned to use Blue-Ray Disc. But it seems that there will be software update instead of Blue-Ray Disc. So if currently you are subscribing for Netflix movie for some months later you will able to watch stream movie over your PS3 freely. How nice it is.
