Hosting> MoVement frequently done by many domain owner as they fell that current hosting doesn’t has enough support to their domain. It might the hosting frequebntly unreach able and cause domain blogger stopped for a while or it also can stay for some days. The other reason that caused people do Hosting movement is because they want to get access. Qauick access can be influenced by the location of Hosting. Local hosting has faster access than hosting from other country.
The next reason why peoplw want to move their domain tyo other hosting is because their data base has been full of data. What ever the reason for hosting movement is not easy way for some people as it need many process.
In this post I would like to share steps to move your domain that use wordpress to other hosting. This is movement is rather difficult as wordpress is consist of PHP and data base, but it will be safe as long as you follow the instructions. Here the instructions:
Back Up data:
First of all ateps is backing data that has to done in order to get your data keep to be owned when there are some unwanted process in this case. To back up your data go to your old hosting by typing your hosting name then add slash and cpanel. Example www.hostingxyz.com/cpanel.
Back up all of data in wp-content. To do this steps follow the instruction below:
- Click on File manager then right click on wp-content==>compress, select bz2 karena as it the smallest compression. Then download to your PC.
- Go to PHPMyAdmin==>look for your wordpress data base. In order to do this use reference wp-config.php in wordpress data base then select export==>Save as file(Gzipped)==>Go==>then download file and save to your PC==>Log out from your Cpanel.
After you back up data follow the next instruction:
- Log in into your new hostng==>fantastico==>install wordpress
- Go to your old hosting==>cpanel==>database==>make a data base and create user==>cpanel==>PhpMyAdmin and then restore all of your backup data to your new hosting.
- Remove file wp-config.php.
- Upload wp-content file has back up to wordpress directory. Remove default wp-content from fantastico installation. then extract file.
- Insert user name and password to your new data base then run wordpress installation
- Download wordpress automatic upgrade then insert itinto wp-content/plugin
- Go to Dashboard==>option==>permalink==>save. Then set it as old hosting setting to update file .htaccess that run mod_rewrite
- Activate WordPress automatic Upgrade plugin. Then upgrade it into new wordpress. Manage==>Automatic upgradethen follow the instruction.
- Activate plug in one by one
- Remove unwanted data
