HTC, the Taiwanese mobile phone company, knows a thing or two about industrial design. Their mobile phones have a clearly recognizable style – sometimes to the point where the company is criticized for not showing sufficient variety. So when it was announced that the company was about to launch a smartphone to a larger audience for lifestyle, was an event that is anticipated.
The launch took place yesterday at the stages of New York High Line, a study of the network store near newly created high viaduct with the railroad. Delightfully dressed in white leather sofas and plush carpets, the new HTC phone was elegant rhyme, a team with a definite feminine appeal. Phones aimed at women tend to be condescending issues, which had the pink shell and little else.
But this phone was due to the determination of HTC’s distinctive appeal to create something beyond the tech-friendly elite. Jason Gordon, Director Global Communications HTC, exclusively to The Independent: “We believe we have made ourselves known to lovers of gadgets, but a lot of people do not care how big or small screen of your phone is processor speed o. tick more. Rhyme The HTC is designed for them to address how to use their phones. ”
So the rhyme (which has a 3.7in screen and a 1GHz processor, high-tech fans) is to be handsome, versatile and essential. HTC is proud of its people go, with this method to build on features that are actually useful rather than simply showing what the manufacturer can do.
With smart phones with the operating system Android, HTC software hides its true sense, called HTC. This has icons that look smoother and classier than the originals, and adds functionality to create more attractive. In the latest version, for example, touching the contact information for a friend who shows you all your past interaction with that person, including texts and calls. And the flip clock – a signature feature HTC indicating the time in digital clock retro, over time, or social networking information attached – has been updated with elegance with a clean source and transparency so dominates screen less, but still stands out.
The phone comes in two colors, plum and Clearwater. The latter is an elegant gold. One of the initial pulse of the rhyme design was to provide an antidote to the ubiquity of smart phones available black or dark color. Both colors stand out as different. And it’s not pink.
Rhyme is certainly a powerful and capable terminal, but the real attraction is the variety of extras. The phone comes with a loading dock that can sit on his bed. Plonk in the phone screen and has an angle to make it easy to see, and the bottom of the screen rotates to turn the clock increases enough to make a decent bedside clock. It is unclear whether the phone’s screen automatically dim at night, we hope, or you need to dim the screen yourself.
There is also a pair of headphones that has a cable that not only matches the color of the phone, but promises to be free of tangles. And there’s a charm: small purple cube is connected by cable to the headphone jack and can cut to the edge of a purse or backpack. When a call or text comes in flashes hub, which should be easier to dive into the bag every minute to see if you missed a call.
In the coming weeks, Apple is expected to launch its new iPhone. For now, HTC has captured the attention and created a nice alternative, powerful. The rhyme is open and discrete functionality which would broaden its appeal to mainstream customers – of both sexes.
